Workshop 1: Body Health for Musicians
Explore how to play with greater physical freedom in your technique. Come learn from Dr. Erika Burns, a leader and nationally-recognized speaker in this field. Develop a more comfortable physical relationship with your instrument for healthy life-long music-making. Learn anatomy and mind-body tools to improve movement, release tension and feel good while playing. For this class, please dress in something that you are able to move freely in. No instruments are needed, but can be brought to address specific question you might have with Erika about your posture holding your instrument.
Coaches
Dr. Erika Burns received violin performance degrees from the University of Oklahoma (Master of Music, Doctor of Musical Arts) and Western Washington University (Bachelor of Music) and is a certified Franklin Method Educator and Suzuki violin teacher.
