Skyros violinist Dr. Sarah Pizzichemi dives deep into the untold story of women musicians and their influence on the development and evolution of chamber music as it swept across Europe and the United States. Be on the cutting edge of scholarly research and knowledge about how this beloved form of art music came into our concert halls and our hearts!

April 19: Body Health for Musicians

Improve your physical relationship to your instrument! Dr. Erika Burns leads a class through exercises that help mitigate injury and increase awareness of how to properly move around your instrument, freeing up our bodies to unlock new musical possibilities! This class requires dressing for movement.

May 24: Counterpoint Club Live – One Pulse to Rule Them All

Work with Skyros to improve your rhythm and sight reading! In this session, studies on how to feel a consistent group pulse will be addressed. Participants will take a deep dive into techniques and different schools of thought that help solidify our sense of internal pulse and rhythm. On top of this, some insight and tips on how to improve sight reading skills will be discussed.
